Robotics & Maker

Robotics that builds real engineers

A structured pathway from hands-on maker to competition robotics

Powered by Duck Learning · Steam Engine
Pebbles students at robotics with LEGO and laptop coding
"Every child begins as a maker before becoming a coder or engineer."

The Maker Explorer Programme forms the foundation of our technology enrichment curriculum and is available to all students as part of our core programme.

Building on the skills and mindsets developed through Maker Explorer, students may choose to further their learning through an optional Robotics Enrichment Programme.

The Robotics Programme

Powered by Steam Engine by Duck Learning — using the LEGO Education platform. Students engage with hands-on robotics, coding, and engineering concepts in a fun, meaningful way, with a structured pathway towards the annual National Robotics Competition (co-organised by Duck Learning and Science Centre Singapore) and FIRST LEGO League Singapore.

Beginner · Ages 7–9
Junior Robotics

Confidence building with bricks, simple motors and colour matrices. Introductory drag-and-drop visual coding.

Intermediate · Ages 10–12
Senior Robotics

Mechanical structures with LEGO Technic, motors and ultrasonic sensors. Transition from icon-based to Scratch word blocks.

Advanced · Ages 10–12
Complex Builds

Complex gear trains, steering systems, multi-motor attachments. Variables, loops, conditional statements, data logging.

All ages
Competition Training

Thematic missions, route optimisation, reliable attachments, presenting to judges under strict time limits.
